In my Savitri readings recently I ran across these beautiful lines — fifteen years ago I remember stumbling across this verse and being arrested by their quiet power.
“In moments when the inner lamps are lit
And the life’s cherished guests are left outside,
Our spirit sits alone and speaks to its gulfs
A wider consciousness opens then its doors;
Invading from spiritual silences”
So many years later, the understated majesty of these lines still has the capacity to touch something deep inside.
